Templates in Studio: a video from a ready recipe

1What a template is and how it helps

When you make a video from scratch, you need to choose a model, come up with a description, and pick a format and duration. A template removes that work: the author has already set everything up, and you change only what is yours, such as a photo, a hero or a short description of the frame.

Studio has three kinds of templates. Ready-made ones are put together by the Gibrid team. Community ones are templates published by other users. Mine are the ones you saved yourself.

2Where to open templates

1. Open Studio

   On the site, click Studio in the left panel or go to gibrid.ai/provideo.

2. Choose the section

   In the Studio top menu, click Templates. The same item is also in the Studio left column.

3. Find what you need

   Above the cards there is a Search templates… bar and category buttons. The chosen tab and category are remembered, so after returning from the composer page you'll be in the same place.

You need an account to get in: without one, Studio asks you to sign in.

3Ready-made templates: from choice to video

The Ready-made tab opens first. These are tiles with a short example: hover and the video plays (on a phone the example plays right away and without sound). At the top are category buttons: All, Photo to Video and categories such as “Cinema”, “Anime”, “TikTok hooks”, “Transformations”, “Advertising”, “Trends”. The set of categories comes from the server and may change.

The tile says what you need to attach: “Text only”, “Start frame” or the names of photo slots (for example, “selfie”), the frame format and a price “from …”. Examples include “UGC review”, “Unboxing”, “Product review”, “Packshot”, “Try-on: selfie”, “Look change”.

1. Click a tile

   The Template window opens with a short description, the video length and a “What to attach” block.

2. Add photos

   Each slot has a note “required” or “optional”. You can take a photo with the buttons From device, From my generations or Persona. If you leave a slot empty where that is allowed, the template's example is used; it is marked “Example”. The Remove and Restore buttons remove your photo or bring back the example.

3. Write a few words

   In the “What's in the frame” field, describe the plot, for example: “a ginger cat in a cloak walks through a night city”. In some templates the field is optional: if you leave it empty, the template's standard content is used.

4. Check the parameters

   If the template allows it, choose “Duration”, “Quality” and “Sound” (“With sound” or “Without sound”).

5. Click “Assemble video”

   The button shows the price in ⚡. If you don't have enough funds, the message “Insufficient balance” appears next to it. Then the window shows the assembly progress; you can close it, and the finished video will appear in the “My generations” section.

4Photo to Video for business

The separate Photo to Video shelf assembles a vertical 9:16 video from your pictures: each photo comes to life with camera movement, and the frames are joined end to end. There are currently six niches: real estate, restaurant and cafe, cars, hotel and rentals, beauty salon, shop. Each needs from 3 to 6 photos.

1. Open a niche

   Click the tile of the niche you need, for example “Real estate: photo to video”.

2. Add photos in order

   The Add photos button (or More photos) uploads pictures, and From my generations takes finished ones. The order of the photos is the order of the frames; you can change it with the Earlier and Later arrows or by dragging. Remove deletes an extra one. Each photo is cropped from the center to the vertical 9:16.

3. Add a comment and pace

   The “Comment (optional)” field is a few words about what is in the photos; they are added to the description of each frame. In the “Pace” block, choose “Calm” or “Dynamic”.

4. Click “Assemble video”

   Next to it you see the number of photos and the approximate video length. The process goes through the stages “Frames”, “Joining”, “Done”; it usually takes a few minutes, and you can close the window.

5Community and “Mine”: templates that fill in the composer

Templates on the Community and Mine tabs work differently from ready-made ones: they don't assemble the video themselves but fill the settings into the regular video creation screen. Then you refine the scene and launch it with the usual “Generate” button.

1. Open “Community”

   Templates are sorted by the number of uses: the most popular are at the top. You can search and filter by category: “Cinema”, “Products”, “Vlog”, “Anime”, “Music”, “Social media”, “Plot”, “Other”. If a template has a “needs a frame” mark, it will need your photo or a reference.

2. Click “Apply”

   The composer opens, and a message appears at the top saying the template is applied. If a start frame is needed, it reminds you: “attach a start frame”.

3. Adjust and launch

   Add your own description or frame and click the generate button. The price in ⚡ is visible on it, as usual.

4. Copy it to yourself

   The To me button on a community template copies it to the “Mine” tab so you can change it for yourself.

On the Mine tab, your templates have a “⋯” button. It opens the actions: Edit, Publish or Hide (if the template is already published) and a trash icon for deleting. The cross button collapses this menu.

6What exactly a template fills in

• the model, frame format, quality and duration, if they are saved in the template;
• the scene description. If the template has a place for the plot, your text stays as the plot and the template's description is added as a style. If there is no place for the plot, the template's text replaces the field's content, and Studio remembers your previous text, which comes back when you remove the template or when the applied template is replaced by another;
• the negative description (what shouldn't get into the frame) and the start frame, if the author saved them;
• for ready-made templates with roles (for example, “hero”), slots for your photos or personas.

Applying a template is free: charging happens only when you launch a generation. Each application of a template is counted for its author; this is the “⚡ N” counter on the card.

7How to save your own template

1. Set up a generation

   In the composer, choose the model, format, duration and quality, and write a description: everything you want to repeat.

2. Open the “Templates” section

   Click Save current as template in the top right corner.

3. Fill in the card

   Enter a “Name” and a description (what will come out and what is needed from the user). You can choose a cover from your pictures or paste it by link. Choose a category.

4. Decide whether to share

   The checkbox “Publish to the marketplace: you will receive tokens for every use” makes the template visible to everyone. Without it, the template stays only with you.

5. Click “Save”

   The template appears on the “Mine” tab. Later you can change, hide or delete it through “⋯”.

8What next with a finished clip

A clip from a template is an ordinary work in “My generations”: it has the same actions. A few useful ones:

• Another format (free) and Brand bar (free) — a vertical or square version and a bar with a phone number and a call to action (finishing a clip);
• Edit the clip with words — change the time of day, weather or clothes without filming again (guide);
• Share a link — a public page for the work, only after your “Publish via link” (guide);
• the “Done” signal — a counter in the tab title, a browser notification and an email while the clip is assembling for a few minutes (more).
